Your govt wants you to believe that the right to choose between two corrupted parties(all controlled by corporates...think about SOPA act and all the money plain donated to big corporates during depression.) is a big deal.Guess what ..you have freedom..but it actually does not matter cause you cant change anything.I condemn stalin for what he did..but I support my local communist party cause they are working for the people. What can I say...what is true is true.I see it in my very eyes that communists here are the only few people in politics worth some honour.
Flame me or do what ever.I dont shift from my belief.Good day.
Communism doesn't inherently have to deny freedom, in fact it is theoretically the most free system according to Marxist philosophy. It frees the working class from slavery.
But I'm not a Marxists, Fascist, Libertarian, Liberal, Democrat, Capitalist or Socialist. I tend to think for myself.
While it is true the Soviet Union committed enough atrocities in its time. Most of them were done under the rule of Stalin, this was during a short and brutal period of USSR's history.
Growing up in a former Soviet state I personally attributed the symbol with everything from unity, multiculturalism and triumph over the Nazi's in World War 2.
Unlike a lot of western propaganda the Soviet Union was not all evil. It provided structure, industrialization, employment, and the dream of Communism. Further the real Marxist socialists were practically the only opposition to the fascism in the beginning of its conception.
According to your philosophy any symbol that can be connected to violence is therefore bad? That list should then include the US Flag, the cross, and the majority of religious symbols.
Putting that symbol on anything that isn't criticism is the same as putting the Nazi swastika on something and not saying it is bad.
